Case Study
Rockwood
Seated on 80 acres, this home has been revived and expanded with a contemporary flair. The program calls for a large 18’x54′ pool with multiple sun shelfs, automatic pool cover, deck jets, and a large diving rock. The Pennsylvania bluestone deck is designed to accomodate large parties and room to lay in the sun.
The multi-level back deck contains raised plant beds, a custom copper spa, and an operable louvered pergola that is water tight when closed. The top deck acts as a performance stage for visiting musicians to enjoy their craft while looking out over an amazing view of the Ozark plateau. Above the garage is a green roof and will provide space for a lazy Sunday nap in a hammock.
Out in the landscape, the seating space at the giant fire pit overlooks the in-grade trampoline and provides a great spot to look for the deer coming to one of the site’s two ponds or hillside stream for a drink. This place is unique.
